Jenny Urizar has worked at the intersection of policy, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement in global organizations for more than 15 years. She was most recently the Vice President and Director of Programs at the New Levant Initiative, an effort to promote economic integration and culture in the coastal region of the eastern Mediterranean known as the Levant.

Jenny was previously the Senior Advisor in Secretary John Kerry’s Office of Global Partnerships at the U.S. Department of State. Prior to that, she spent five years on the National Security Council in the White House, including serving as the Director for Strategic Planning, and previously as the Director for Global Engagement where she designed a number of global education, entrepreneurship, and economic development initiatives.

Before the Obama Administration, Jenny worked on post-conflict reconstruction issues at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. She is a veteran of two presidential campaigns as a foreign policy advisor, including the Obama-Biden 2008 campaign. Jenny received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Master of Science in Global Politics from the London School of Economics.
